These Kazak rugs are also known as Ziegler in Western market. This class of rugs is knotted in Pakistan using high quality hand spun wool and natural dyes. These rugs are generally stonewashed to evoke a rustic antique finish look. It is said that Kazak/Ziegler rugs were originally produced by the Ziegler company in 1883 with the Western market as their target in mind. These rugs are famous for their timeless designs. Kazak rugs are inspired from older Russian and Caucasian rugs with harmonious geometric designs. These carpets are durable and have a relatively short pile.
