HISTORY
Balochi rugs are that kind of handmade rugs which are originally weaved by Baloch nomads, predominantly living closer to the Pakistan and Afghanistan border on western side of it. The rugs are sold in the city Herat with the different name of Herat-Balochi rugs
These rugs are relatively smaller in size with lively patterns. Most of these rugs are used as praying rugs in world. The dominating colours are red, brown and dark blue. Their warp is basically made of wool, but very few newer rugs have a warp made of cotton.
